Since 2004, The James E. Strates Shows has been a proud partner with the Exchange Club of Augusta, providing the thrills and excitement of the carnival to the Central Savannah River Area. Strates Shows is a family-owned and operated outdoor amusement and carnival business with headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Founded in 1923 by Greek immigrant James E. Strates as the Southern Tier Shows in Elmira, New York, the Strates Shows is one of America’s premiere providers of carnival midways. The company is led by the 3rd generation of Strates members including Jimmy, Jay, John, and Susan. Nick Strates, who officially joined the show full-time during the 2015 season, is the 4th generation of the Strates family to continue the tradition.

RIDE WISE, RIDE SAFE

The James E. Strates Shows as been providing family entertainment for more than a century and when it comes to amusement ride and attraction safety there is no higher priority for the Strates team. Strates Shows’ “Ride Wise, Ride Safe” program reminders riders that they play an important role in a safe midway experience.

• Observe Operation Of The Attraction To Determine If The Experience Is Appropriate For You Or Your Child.

• Read All Posted Rider Requirements And Safety Rules.

• Observe Age, Height & Weight Requirements.

• Follow Instructions Of Ride Operator.

• Use Safety Equipment Such As Seat Belts, Shoulder Harness Or Lab Bar When Provided.

• Stay seated until the ride has come to a complete stop and until the ride operator has given permission to leave the ride.

• Do not run on ride platforms or on the midway

• Properly Use And Adjust All Personal Restraints.

• Keep Entire Body And Limbs Inside Ride At All Times.

• Leave All Loose Items With Non-Rider Or Stow Off-Ride.

• Parents Or Responsible Companions Assume Responsibility For Compliance To All Safety Guidelines and Rider Restrictions.
